Tasting Room Staff / Beertender

Job Description

Red White and Brew Beer Company is seeking full-time or part-time beertenders. Full-time and part-time beertenders are responsible for ensuring that customers have a positive and memorable experience at our tasting room. Our ideal candidate should have a passion for craft beer, excellent customer service skills, and a willingness to learn about our product and the craft beer brewing process and industry. In addition to previous qualifications listed, our full-time beertenders should have strong leadership and problem solving skills. Full-time staff are expected to lead our part-time team, be able to trouble-shoot technical problems in our taproom, and have above-average customer service skills. Previous experience as a bartender or brewery tasting room staff preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining a friendly and welcoming taproom environment at all times
  • Assisting customers in the ordering and tasting process - Must be able to make recommendations based on preferences from customers and walk our customers through our taplist in detail
  • Flexible and responsive with short notice requests
  • Knowledgeable about our beers and brewery history
  • Conducting tours of the brewery with customers and answering customer questions- Must be knowledgeable about the brewing process.
  • Operating off-site events as needed
  • Effectively handling routine purchases, and operating our POS and cash register
  • Maintaining a clean bar, beer garden and tasting room at all times
  • Take accurate inventory of beer and merchandise
  • Maintaining and organizing merchandise stock in our taproom
  • Changing out kegs in tasting room walk-in cooler
  • Able to effectively work on a team and complete tasks with minimal supervision

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Flexible schedule
  • Preferred TIPS certification
  • Able to lift 40 pounds - Preferred 160 lbs
  • Must be able to stand, walk, lift and bend for up to 8 hours a day
  • Weekends, Holidays and Evenings as required

Compensation

  • Minimum $6/hr (plus tips) - Commensurate with experience
  • Profit Sharing based on annual company performance
